RIBBONS AND CURLS new NEW!

A spectacular foliage plant with a unique flat stem structure. Plant develops multiple stems and branches to produce a full foliage plant. Encourage branching with high light and low humidity after propagation. No pinching required.

Sticking: Flat stems are difficult to stick into propagation soil. To ease sticking slide flat stem cuttings between plastic tray and soil.

Temperature: The use of warm temperature propagation can rapidly encourage rooting. Recommended environment includes use of a 68 F night temperature. Misting in propagation should be used for the first 3-5 days to mitigate excessive wilting. Reduce mist after callus formation. Propagation environments set up with high indirect lighting will help to warm day temperatures and encourage rapid rooting.

Fertilize: Starter fertilization can begin at 75 to 100 PPM at root formation.

After root: After root initiation, stretch in propagation can be mitigated by moving cuttings to an environment with high light and low humidity conditions.

More information: Schedule 4 weeks of propagation.

Environment: Environment is critical to great growth after transplant. At transplant, transition the rooted cuttings into 5000 - 6000 ft candle environment with a night temperature of 65 F. Cold night temperatures, under 60 F, are problematic to good culture.

After rooting: After rooting into final container, reduce irrigations and begin to dry slightly between irrigations. Temperature can be maintained at 65 F nights and high of 75 - 80 F degree day. Move plants to brighter light conditions with 8000 ft candle as a target.

CLEAN STOCK: Susceptibility of Homalocladium to viruses are well known. Kientzler Homalocladium come from Kientzler Innovaplant with commitment to unsurpassed record of production reliability.

Crop Scheduling: Transplant 1 cutting into an 4-inch container or 3 cuttings into an 8-inch container. 4-inch containers finish in 6-8 weeks, 8 to 10-inch containers finish in 10 to 12 weeks.
